The individual event in 10m Air Rifle was won by Maltese shooter William Vella (photo) with a very good score of 575 (ISSF MQS) and 104.8 in the finals which is an international standard for a total of 679.8.
Yesterday was the second day of the Malta autumn international Grand Prix being held at the Bidnija ranges.
David Williams from Wales placed second with 656.6. He was followed in third by David Wright with 650.6.
Malta’s Charlo Chircop placed fourth with 646.8, followed by Lawrence Darmanin on 635.1 and Annabelle Borg in sixth place on 593.6
In the Skeet event, another Maltese, Clive Farrugia, is the leader with 91/100
Jason Sciberras is second with 87 and Rhys Price is third on 86. Richard Stepney is fourth with 85, Joe Muscat fifth on 84 and Elenio Mifsud sixth with 84.
The Skeet and the Trap events continue today with each shooter having a go at their last round of 25 clays and the best six to shoot the barrage final of another 25 clays.
In the Trap event, M.Wixey is leading with 92/100. Second is J. Davies on 88, third Steve Vella on 87, fourth J. Hall on 86, fifth G. Davies, also on 86 and sixth N. Lyons on 85.
