“It’s going to end between 15 and 17 of January.” These are the words on the lips of every Lasallian, spoken so nonchalantly that one may merely be discussing the weather. Far from it, however, as the mandatory reply, “What is?” heralds an abrupt response uttered with such confidence that it simply must be true. “The world.”
Declare this an emergency. Ladies and Gentlemen, millennia ago the Lamb broke open Seven Seals and told of doomsday. Half a year ago the De La Salle Sixth Form Council and Lasallian Nights Committee came together to bring this prophecy to fruition. This January witness Lasallian Nights 2010: Apocalypse, an explosive display of the incredible talent seething behind the Sixth Form doors.
Prepare for the journey of a lifetime, forget the banal monotony of cue cards and mumbled clichés and follow instead in the footsteps of the most unlikely hero imaginable – who seems just the sort to follow when there is no one left.
Succumb to warped rapture through dance, drama and music, while bearing witness to the technological kaleidoscope of lights, sound and visual effects. If these do not yet have you on the edge of your seat, tough customers, the innovative artistic creativity which transforms the stage itself will indubitably instil in you the infectious Lasallian spirit.
Forget 2012 and Maltageddon. This is the real dystopic experience. Buckle up for a show like never before – a tribute to the capabilities of dedicated, united students completely independent of teachers’ aid. Revelations declared that None Can Stand Against It, and at last the time has come.
See you at De La Salle Sixth Form this January for the end of the world as you have never imagined it!
