An appeal by Nature Trust against a proposed “massive” development at Wied il-Għasel before the Mepa Appeals Board had to be postponed yesterday due to the fact that the Trust asked to be allowed to change their lawyer since Dr Philip Manduca has been appointed a member of the Mepa board and it was felt that there would be a conflict of interest if he remained NT’s lawyer.

The parties representing the applicant opposed the plea for a postponement.

The case has been deferred until 18 March.
