HSBC has awarded the third edition of the Merchant Acquiring Campaign Prize to Lidl Malta. The prize is assigned to the merchant that registers the highest increase in cards turnover during the campaign, according to the reference period specific to each category. The company has achieved the first position for category, Merchants subscribed to the HSBC EPOS service, between 15 June 2009 and 15 March 2010 for the EPOS system success in Lidl Zejtun outlet.
Lidl, the number one discount supermarket chain in Malta, will be donating the full amount of the prize to St Rita Home, the Ursuline Crèche in Tarxien.
The headquarters of Lidl Malta Ltd said: “We are quite honoured to be receiving this award and we are happy to offer the prize to charity to help the Ursuline Crèche children. As a socially aware and responsible company, we are proud to use this occasion to lend the crèche a hand.”
Richard Cottell, head of Commercial Banking congratulated Lidl on their achievement and thanked the company and staff for donating their cash prizes to charity.
