Tal-Kaptan, one of the most popular casual restaurants in Malta, has recently announced the appointment of Mr Jonathan Bugeja as Restaurant Manager. Mr Bugeja will be responsible for the operations of Tal-Kaptan’s two outlets – one at the Valletta Waterfront and the other one in Qawra, where the restaurants’ team cater for an established clientele as well as ever increasing list of new clients. “Patrons at any Tal-Kaptan Restaurant have not only come to expect the high quality traditional cooking with a twist that the restaurant is renown for but also for the superior service given by our team where we strive to please and accommodate patrons’ needs. It is upon this tradition that I and my new colleagues will strive to keep on building,” Mr Bugeja said.
For over 15 years the well established Tal-Kaptan Restaurant and Pizzeria, situated just across the road from the Seashells Resort at Suncrest at Qawra, has been renowned for the high level of service and delicious food. The Restaurant’s popularity over the years resulted in the opening of another outlet at the Valletta Waterfront, stretching over the water’s edge and offering a picturesque view of the Grand Harbour. Both restaurants are popular choices for casual diners as well as families, particularly in view of the fact that they are very child-friendly, with their own ‘Kids Menu’ and with spacious open-air terraces overlooking the sea.
“I m really glad to be joining this great team, and extremely motivated to be working in this new environment, where I firmly believe I can offer a significant amount of experience in this job,” continued Mr Bugeja, who has worked for years in one of the country’s busiest fast food restaurants. “Being promoted as a junior manager at the age of 19 I have gained a lot of management skills, which I am now looking forward to use for the benefit of our patrons and our restaurants,” he said. Indeed, Mr Bugeja is continuing with his studies in management at the University of Malta, such that “relying on my experience and my studies of management theory, I can mold this new opportunity in my life into a great experience for the patrons and the team at Tal-Kaptan Restaurant, as much as I am sure it will be a great experience for myself,” he concluded.
