The myHealth service is offering access to more medical examination results, the Department of Information said. Those using the service have access among others to case summaries of Mater Dei Hospital, the names of doctors allowed to operate in Malta, and to whom one’s medical history can be passed via myHealth, and reports about all digital examinations of X-rays, CT scans, MRI, and ultrasound which are held in government hospitals and clinics.
A patient can choose the doctor or doctors from the list who would then have access to all the medical information. myHealth was launched last January. Hugo Agius Muscat, national eHealth coordinator, said the first thing a patient has to do is to register for an e-id, after which the patient can access the site and choose the doctor from the list of those who can operate in Malta.
The site may be found at www.myhealth.gov.mt and offers the possibility of a person being notified by email when there is a new result.
Further information about how to register for an e-id may be obtained on tel. 2122-6627 or 2122-6628, or from the site www.mygov.mt.
