Trio Frizzante at the Manoel next Friday

The final recital of the current Manoel Theatre season collaboration with the Austrian Embassy will be held on Friday 31 May at 8pm when Trio Frizzante from Austria will perform an eclectic programme of music by Bohuslav Martinu, Piotr Skweres, Michael Publig and Anna A. Lang. 
Trio Frizzante is made up of three young musicians: Doris Lindner (piano), Marlies Gaugl (flute) and Tomasz Skweres (cello). They made their debut in Vienna in 2009 and have since become a sought after trio with their repertoire ranging from classical music to jazz.

The full programme for the evening includes: Bohuslav Martinu’s Trio (Poco Allegretto, Adagio, Andante-Allegretto scherzando), Piotr Skweres’s Tango per tre, Michael Publig’s Scenes From An Imaginary Movie, Anna. A. Lang’s 3 Moments (Light Blue, Intensity and Quite Wild) and Astor Piazzolla’s Cuatro Estaciones (Verano, Otono, Invieno and Primavera).

Tickets for the recital are €15 and €10 with 50 per cent discount for students and senior citizens. There is also a pre-recital talk at 7.15pm by Neil Briscoe-White.
