PN leader Simon Busuttil has appointed a commission with the aim of screening its candidates while also putting forward any recommendations it deems fit.

Former EU Commissioner Joe Borg is to head the commission.

Other commission members include Isabel Vella, Louis Deguara, Maria Cassar, Noel Buttigieg Scicluna, Saviour Sciberras, and Karol Aquilina.

Dr Busuttil thanked Dr Borg for having accepted his invitation to head the commission and said that the commission will be highlighting the qualities and competences individuals must have to be considered as PN candidates.

The commission has also been requested to present a preliminary report on the tasks it’s been assigned by the end of next month.
