The Malta School of Art, located at Casa Brunet, 106 Old Bakery Street Valletta, will be holding an Open Day for the general public on Sunday 30 June between 9.30am and 1.00pm.

On the occasion the general public, and prospective art students, will have the opportunity to visit the studios where the school’s art courses are held.

Courses include Drawing and Painting, Life classes, Sculpture 3D Modelling and Casting, Sculpture in Wood and Stone, Artistic Print-making, Gold and Silversmithing, and Gilding. 

The public will also be able to view an exhibition of works by the Diploma Course Students, set up for this occasion, in the newly restored basement at the School of Art.

Some of the students’ art work will be for sale in aid of the School Fund.

In the main hall, visitors will be able to appreciate works by renowned Maltese artists; ex-students, who are now much appreciated by Maltese art connoisseurs.

On this occasion prospective summer art students will be able to apply for the Summer Art Courses 2013 held at the School of Art starting from Monday 15 July.

The Courses will be held on Mondays and Thursdays during the months of July, August and September, either in the morning from 9.00 am to 11.30 am, or in the evening from 5 pm to 7.30 pm. Adults, teenagers and children from six years can apply.

The courses provide facilities for Life classes, Drawing and Painting, 3D Modelling in Clay, Sculpture in Wood & Stone, and Printing. 

Those interested may apply during the Open Day and on the following two days, Monday 1 July and Tuesday 2 July from 5pm to 7pm.
