Ghaxaq’s St Mary’s Band Club of is working hard to become one of the most outstanding organizers of national events, many of which are increasing in popularity every year.  This year, thanks to an overwhelming number of sponsors, it is organizing a five-day Music Festival.

This will take place on 2, 3 and 5 August at Ghaxaq Square and on 6 and 7 August at the Ghaxaq Sports Grounds.

Serata ta Ghana @ Ghaxaq Square on Friday 2August

This event will feature Malta’s top ghannejja including Karmenu s-Superstar, his son Ronaldo and many others. It starts at 8:30pm.

Ryan Spiteri’s 90s in the square on Saturday 3 August

After last year’s success, Ryan returns with his open air 90s party starting at 9pm.

Serata Maltin Biss in the square on Monday 5 August

This will be a street concert featuring up and coming Maltese artists, bands and dance companies. This event will be in aid of an Ghaxaq philanthropic movement which takes care of residents who need medical treatment abroad.

Ira Losco and Airport Impressions at Ghaxaq Grounds on Tuesday 6 August

Accompanied on stage by nine brilliant musicians, the Queen of the Maltese scene Ira Losco will perform hits from her latest album The Fire and other classics from her repertoire. Airport Impressions, who are on their way of becoming Malta’s finest band, will also perform their top tracks. The two acts will also perform together on stage. The event will be hosted by Joe Tanti accompanied by DJ Lionel G. This concert will be free of charge, but the public will be asked to give a donation for the Puttinu Cares Foundation on entrance.

Johnny Logan at at Ghaxaq Grounds on Wednesday 7 August

The most successful artist in Eurovision history, Johnny Logan will sing live accompanied by an 18-piece orchestra under the direction of Mro. Joe Brown. He will be supported by Gianluca Bezzina. Once again, the concert will be free but the public will be asked to make a donation to Puttinu Cares.

A limited number of VIP tickets are available priced at €25 (one ticket for both events on 6 and 7 August) which will include finger food and two free drinks.
