Lithuanian Violinist, Inga Marcel, will be presented on Friday, 9 August at 20:00, in Sliema Sea Front (Promenade opposite “Preluna” Hotel), courtesy of Mediterranean Music Nights (MMN). Locally, award-winning Body Painter, Daniel Formosa will, through live body painting, transform Inga Marcel into an amazing, fascinating and colourful theme of “Diamonds & Angels”, for the second part of her performance.
Mediterranean Music Nights (MMN) is a cultural project born out of a passion for music and entertainment. Their mission is to create exciting entertainment using talented local artists performing in public places of Malta, targeting both residents and visitors. Mediterranean Music Nights (MMN) believes that these performances will raise the spirits of the audience through the universal language of music.
Mediterranean Music Nights (MMN) have already presented three events featuring professional violinist Inga Marcel and other tribute bands, artists and performances, opening on Friday 2nd of August 2013 on Sliema Sea Front (promenade opposite ”Preluna” Hotel). The next events took place at Bugibba Square on the 4th & 6th of August 2013
Violinist Inga Marcel (www.ingamarcel.com) performed a new program for electric violin “From Classic to Rock”, featuring Vivaldi’s Four Seasons “Storm”, Shubert “Ave Maria” and building to a rock version for electric violin of “Live and Let Die”. Leigh Holmes played new multi track compositions for guitar and voice using a ‘looper with “Fire & Ice” giving a blazing display of pyrotechnic dance. “Jungle Spirits” of St Gwann thrilled the crowds with Salsa dancing encouraging many bystanders to join in the fun.
These events are performed free of charge and simply supported through the gratitude of those present making generous donations.
