Local tenor Cliff Zammit Stevens will be holding his 5th annual summer concert on September in Archbishop Square, Mdina.

The programme is to offer various well known, and less known art songs and arias, sure to please the classical repertoire connoisseurs & those who simply enjoy classical music.

Cliff will be accompanied by his esteemed colleagues French pianist Laila Barnat & British soprano Louise Alder. The 3 young performers will be performing works by Bizet, Duparc, Strauss, Puccini, Donizetti amongst others.

‘Performing to my family, friends & to those people who helped me so much in this journey is a great experience’, said Cliff, ‘when I started on my journey I never thought I would be able to experience so many great things; that I would be able to organise my very own concert 5 years in a row, perform on the BBC, work in a touring company or meet and work with people like Robert Sutherland (Maria Callas' ex accompanist). I am truly thankful for this experience and very excited for the 7th of September!’

Cliff is currently following the Masters of Performance programme at the Royal of College Music, London. He has gained considerable experience in working roles including his debut as Nemorino in PopUp Opera’s new production of L’Elisir D’Amore. Cliff’s upcoming engagements include Cassio in Verdi’s Otello, appearances in Corfu and Tito in La Clemenza Di Tito.
