The annual conference organized by RAI, the Italian national media organization, that brings together media delegates from the countries that receive RAI broadcasts and where Italian is widely spoken is to take place in Malta next year. This was agreed during talks between RAI and PBS (Malta) in Turin, Italy recently. A collaboration programme in the journalism, technical and sport fields was also agreed upon. The talks took place during the Prix Italia Exhibition that RAI holds every year for international media executives interested in working with the Italian media giant. Delegates from Croatia, Slovenia, Corsica, Switzerland, San Marino, Vatican City, Tunisia and Romania are expected to attend the Malta conference, which will also mark Italy’s Presidency of the European Union and the 40th anniversary of the opening of the Italian Cultural Centre in Valletta.
