The Nationalist Party this evening approved another three candidatures for the European Parliament elections.

They are Ray Bugeja, Norman Vella and Francis Zammit Dimech. Mr Bugeja and Dr Zammit Dimech had contested for the party leadership in May, while Mr Vella is a former TV presenter.

They bring the number of candidates being presented by the PN to 11. The other candidates are David Casa, Roberta Metsola, Therese Comodini Cachia, Kevin Cutajar, Helga Ellul, Stefano Mallia, Kevin Plumpton and Jonathan Shaw.

The candidates initially approved by commission headed by former EU Commissioner Joe Borg.
