A photographic exhibition, The Baby Factor, put up by the Malta Girl Guides Association with the collaboration of Agenzija Zghazagh at the Family and Social Solidarity Ministry in Valletta is being held until Saturday.

It was opened by the minister, Marie Louise Coleiro Preca who praised the initiative. She said Malta is rich in strong values relating to children’s upbringing but there still were situations where certain children are being ignored.

She said that at present there are about 600 boys and girls in out of home care and thanked all those working with them, particularly foster parents who give them a family environment.

The exhibition is the result of a project carried out by the Malta Girl Guides with others in Nigeria.
