In what may readers have seen you so far?
I started attending acting workshops in 2010. Since then I've taken part in four pantomimes – most recently Little Red Riding Hood as Stinker Bell. I’ve also done a couple of Burlesque shows with The Dazzle Troupe and R+J Forever, in which I played Lady Escalus. I’ve also been in a few MADC productions including last year's Shakespeare Much Ado About Nothing and the One Act Play Festival where I was awarded the Best Actress 2013 prize.
Why did you take up acting?
I was exposed to performance from a young age so it kind of grew on me. I love being on stage and entertaining people. I can't really describe the feeling I get personally when I'm on stage. It's sort of a drug to me. I try to get involved in theatre as much as possible… I consider it a part-time job as well as a hobby.
What’s your theatrical ambition?
At this point in time I'm trying to get as much experience under my belt as I possibly can. I hope to be getting some qualifications as well. The dream is to one day travel to LA or London and try and get an acting job there. But right now I'm happy to simply be doing what I love.
Tell us about this comedy.
This is pretty much the story of Adam and Eve but with a twist. You see, Kevin was also created as Adam's companion. Throughout the show we find out what really happened in the Garden of Eden, and are told why we've never heard the real story before. I play Eve. She's a little ditsy, bless her. She was created from Adam's rib, just as in the original story. However, Adam is a quite the chauvinist and Eve struggles to deal with this issue, so she makes a decision that affects the rest of the story quite drastically.
Why should people come and watch it?
Steve Hili has written and directed a very funny, very R-rated, very original play based on the classic biblical story. At the very least, people must come along to find out who Kevin is... and how he plays a part in the story of all of us.
This is the latest (and quite possibly craziest) piece of theatre to come out of the mind of Steve Hili. Following the success of Romeo and Juliet 2 (and a Zombie) and Sex Confessions of a Maltese Man, Steve and his Revolt Team are now going back to the beginning by putting together a zany take on the story that started everything.
This madcap fringe-style comedy does not just suppose that Adam and Eve were not alone in the garden of Eden, but also explains how the first humans shaped the future of the world we live in through arrogance, being unable to control their sexual desires and… socks.
