Give us a bit of background on your stage career so far.

I love all aspects of art and I try to do as many different things as I possibly can. It's a rare occasion when I take part in a production and just take part as an actor: usually I'm also involved in backstage, props or the artwork. Writing and directing are also a side of theatre I love. My most memorable part was Apeman from Cultivating Insanity where I had to create a character who experienced the world around him, physically and mentally, in a completely different way than I ever did. Lately, puppets have been the focal point of my theatrical career as I am responsible for their physical and character creation and their performance on stage. 

Why did you take up performing?                                  

My sister didn't want me to ‘waste’ another summer so she 'forced' me to start a performing arts course. She was right, it really was what was missing in my life. Thanks sis. 

Do you have any memorable moments from the stage that you can share with us?

An embarrassing situation was when I put up a production and there were more people taking part than in the audience… and we didn't have a very big cast. 

How often can you get involved in theatre?

I'm trying to make performing my main job, but the problem is you have to bend over backwards to accommodate the different audiences and it's very easy to forget why you started on this journey of artistic expression.

Tell us about your part in this comedy.

I'm the narrator and part-time devil. I love the way the narrator switches from being just a voice to help tell the story, to getting involved and even changing the situation so that it doesn't deviate from its written course. I also love the fact that after all the crazy situations and ridiculous things that happen it ends in such a way to make it seem 'plausible' and makes it a funny imaginative take on what really happened at the dawn of time.

Why should people come and watch it?

I think Steve is an awesome writer. I've been a huge fan of what he writes from his first production. I think the story will not leave anyone disappointed. Also, the cast have taken up great characters and evolved them over rehearsals, so I'm anticipating a great end result, especially when all the costumes, props and special effects come in.
