The pleasant ambiance of the Maltese islands based on a sense of personal security, a comfortable climate and a quiet lifestyle is the greatest advantage we have in attracting investment and generating new jobs, former PM and PL MEP candidate Alfred Sant said during a visit to the Malta Falconry Centre in Siggiewi.
Dr Sant stressed the importance of developing and supporting new projects that help give value to the Maltese tourism product. “We now need to build into this competitive advantage that we possess, a wider range of projects that enhance the interest of a visit to Malta.”
The Malta Falconry Centre is the first bird of prey centre in Malta developed to re-introduce the ancient art of falconry in Malta, to breed captive birds on view to the public and to reintroduce native species of birds of prey to Malta.
Dr. Sant was toured round the Falconry Centre by Mr. Rennie Scicluna, owner and Managing Director of the centre which receives daily visits by Maltese and tourists interested in the art of falconry. A visit to the Malta Falconry Centre is a unique experience to watch falconers fly several different species of well trained birds of prey and these magnificent creatures in free flight.
