The Eden Leisure Group today objected to a warrant of prohibitory injunction requested by Dragonara Gaming Ltd against the Privatisation Unit.
The dispute came about after the Privatisation Unit's selection of Eden Lesiure's bid for a concession to operate a casino in St. Julian's.
Dragonara Gaming filed an application for an injunction at the end of last month, claiming that there were flaws in the selection process.
In the injunction filed today, Eden Leisure Group accuses Dragonara Gaming, which already operates a casino in the area, of abusing the legal process in order to stifle competition.
Eden Group argues that Dragonara Gaming is trying to delay the granting of the concession to Eden Leisure group.
The application states that the only real reason that Dragonara is claiming that the process was flawed is that it wasn't chosen as the preferred bidder.
