In a company announcement yesterday, Malta International Airport announced that CEO Markus Klaushofer has resigned.

The announcement said: “The company announces the appointment of Alan Borg, Chief Commercial Officer and Executive Director, as its Chief Executive Officer ad interim, effective immediately.

“”The Chairman and the Board of Directors would like to thank the outgoing CEO and Executive Director Markus Klaushofer for his leadership and contribution to the company since his appointment in 2011.”
