Investigations are under way in order to establish what led to the death of a 58-year-old man residing in St Julian’s, the police said.

Preliminary investigations established that the man was searching for a parking spot for the Mercedes Benz he was driving in Triq il-Fraxxnu in St Julians' when he hit another vehicle.

An ambulance was summoned on site which took the man for treatment.

Later, the man was certified dead in hospital.

The officers from the St Julians' Police District were informed about the case at about 4.45pm, the police said.
