Works on the National Flood Relief Project will start in Birkirkara on the day the locality celebrates the feast of St Helena.

Transport Malta said in a statement that as from tomorrow 18 August at 09:30hrs, construction of storm culverts will take place in Trid Dun Karm (bypass) in Birkirkara. Works are scheduled to be completed by Monday 7 September.

Road closure is not necessary since works will be carried out on one lane at a time, however delay in traffic is expected. Priority will be given to traffic from Triq Reġjonali.

Motorists are advised to proceed with caution.
