A baby was rushed to hospital after being hit by a truck mirror while being held on his mother's shoulder this morning.
Preliminary investigations found that the boy, who is Italian, was allegedly being carried out of a residence by his 30-year-old mother when they came face-to-face with an Isuzu NKR, whose mirror hit the baby.
The truck was being driven by a 37-year-old man who lives in Saint Paul's Bay.
The boy was subsequently conveyed to Mater Dei Hospital, where it has so far been established that he is not in a critical condition.
Investigations are underway by the Sliema Police Station, who were assisted on site by the Traffic Branch.
