The Public Service Unit within Union Ħaddiema Magħqudin (UĦM) has been ordering orders to hold industrical action within the Industrial Relations and Employment since 22 June.
The industrial action was initially ordered because the government failed to address the working conditions of employees, however eight weeks on, authorities have failed to provide a reply to the proposals put forward by UĦM.
In a statement, the union said that the working conditions of these workers are not up to standards, even when compared to other civil servants. It said that despite a call being made to employ more workers, the treatment of workers is still unjust.
UĦM called on the government to address the situation.
