The Nationalist Party today presented a letter of protest to the Public Broadcasting Services (PBS) about a news item on the gas power station, aired on Friday.

In a statement, PN Spokesperson Clyde Puli said that in the midst of a controversy about a bank guarantee, the national television station deflected the attention away from the scandal, choosing to broadcast a feature promoting the building of the new power station.

Mr Puli said the PBS was not respecting the principle of impartiality when it chose to only include comments by Energy Minister Konrad Mizzi.

“PBS has become a puppet for the Labour government, with the agenda being set by Castille,” the statement concluded.
