A 26-year-old Cuban man today pleaded guilty to a St Julian’s stationery hold-up.
Mr Eliseo Carrillo Montoro, 26 from Cuba, is currently staying is a hotel hotel, and stole €2,515 from the shop in Wilga Street, Paceville.
He was charged with aggravated theft, holding a person against their will, and being in possession of knife. The court heard how he spent the cash at a casino.
The Magistrate will deliver her sentence on 28 August.
Inspectors Fabian Fleri and Carol Fabri prosecuted. Lawyer Simon Micallef Stafrace appeared for the defence.
