Transport Malta said today that, as from today, traffic flow in Triq il-Wied L-Iklin will be directed from Naxxar to L-Iklin only. This is due to the ongoing works related to the National Flood Relief Project.

Traffic from Birkirkara bypass will be diverted onto Triq Ħal Għargħur and onto Triq Tal-Balal. Motorists are advised to proceed with caution.

Works related to the project have led to traffic jams over the past few days, with traffic congestion reaching as far as Marsa.

The authority also announced that maintenance works will be carried out at the Mriehel bypass direction towards Marsa tomorrow between 8.30pm and 3am. The road will not be closed to traffic.
