An 81-year-old man is suffering from grievous injuries after being hit by a 37-year-old driver in Paola.
The accident occurred on Palm Street at 17.55h.
The 37-year-old, from Balzan, was reversing in his BMW and hit the elderly man from Paola. An ambulance went on site and took the man to Mater Dei Hospital. Although suffering grievous injuries, he is not in danger of losing his life.
An investigation is underway.
