The Holy See announced today that Pope Francis has accepted the resignation of Bishop Paul Darmanin, bishop of Garissa, Kenya, on reaching retirement age.
The Holy See also announced that Mgr Darmanin will be succeeded by Mgr Joseph Alessandro, who is also a Maltese missionary and also a Capuchin.
