Leader of the Opposition Dr Simon Busuttil said that the price stability of petrol and diesel as claimed by Joseph Muscat, only means a higher price for Maltese families.

PN leader insists this is the government stealing from the families and businesses in Malta and Gozo.

In a meeting with the GRTU, Dr Busuttil said that the current fuel prices in Malta are affecting Malta's competitively.

He criticized the Government's decision to give a state guarantee on the consortium for the building of the new power station.

"With that amount of money, €360 million, Muscat could have helped local small businesses".

During the meeting, Simon Busuttil presented GRTU with a copy of the document Ekonomija ghan-Nies (An Economy for the People).

PN leader also mentioned the traffic problem which the Maltese public has to face every single day.

GRTU President Paul Abela reiterated the call on the Government to lower utility bills by 30%. This proposal was supported by Simon Busuttil.
