A man charged with a string of aggravated thefts including several cameras from parked cars, as well as a laptop, was today remanded in custody by Magistrate Ian Farrugia after pleading not guilty.
Neil Farrugia, 33, from Birkirkara was accused of stealing a Nikon camera worth €1,400 from a car in Hamrun last November, a Dell laptop from a Birkirkara garage in February 2015, and a Kodak camera worth €150 from Birkirkara in July 2015.
He was also accused of damaging property, relapsing and breaching his bail conditions.
Inspector Kurt Zahra prosecuted and lawyer Noel Bianco was legal aid.
