The winners of the Malta Baby & Kids Directory Best Mum and Best Dad Awards were presented with their awards and prizes by Mrs Michelle Muscat, the Prime Minister's wife, at a celebratory party on Tuesday 28 June at The Malta National Aquarium during the launch of the 10th Anniversary edition of The Malta Baby & Kids Directory.
The yearly Best Mum and Best Dad Awards campaign was launched in March 2016 and the public were invited to nominate a spouse, relative or friend who they felt deserved the titles of "Best Mum" and "Best Dad". The campaign generated a great response and six finalists were chosen from which the 2 winners were selected as the best candidates to win these awards. Lorinda Mamo and Martin Grech were deservedly voted this year's winners. Their stories are featured in the just launched 2016/17 edition of the Malta Baby & Kids Directory.
The winners were presented with their awards and some amazing prizes including: 2 nights in a deluxe sea view room at the luxury 5 star Corinthia Hotel St George's bay, a meal for 2 adults and 2 children at the winner of The Definitive(ly) Good Guide Best Children Friendly Restaurant Award - iPlace, Marsaxlokk, a delicious Busy Bee Cake and a hamper of Nestle' goodies.
The 10th edition front cover painting competition sponsored by Faber Castell with the theme 'Saving Malta's Unique Environment' was won by Dante Pace (4 years old) and the runner up is Taya Pace (6 years old). The winner's painting is on the cover of the 10th anniversary edition of the Malta Baby & Kids Directory launched on the 28th June. Paintings of 12 shortlisted artists are also featured in the directory.
