Monday, 18 July 2016, 15:52 Last update: about 9 years ago

Banif Bank has underlined its commitment to supporting vulnerable sectors of society by sponsoring the Physically Handicapped Rehabilitation Fund (PHRF).

The PHRF, which has been operating for over 70 years, provides various services to persons with disabilities with the main objective of assisting and facilitating their integration into society. Among these services are the provision of mobility aids, transportation services, computer classes, workshops and the organisation of sports and entertainment activities. A number of beneficiaries of this fund are also being involved in the administration of the centre.

"The excellent work being carried out by the PHRF is very much in line with Banif's values," said Karl Dingli, head of Corporate Services who, on behalf of the bank, presented the donation to Georgia Tabone, PHRF chairperson. "We strongly believe in inclusion and in offering the same opportunities and the best possible quality of life to all members of society. The bank is pleased to be able to assist the PHRF in fulfilling its noble mission."
