Tuesday, 16 August 2016, 15:40 Last update: about 9 years ago

Dhalia Real Estate Services held a first aid training session for employees at their head office in Mriehel. The course was provided by St John's Ambulance and is recognised by the Malta Qualifications Council and the local Occupational Health and Safety Regulations. Employees were awarded with certification in first aid on completion of their intensive training.

The course dealt with ways on how to deal with an emergency, how to use a first aid kit and the first response before the ambulance arrives. Dhalia staff learnt how to treat sprains and nosebleeds as well as more serious accidents such as head wounds and choking.

Being prepared for emergency situations is the best way to protect oneself in case of an emergency. One recipient of the first aid training, Ingrid Sciberras said: "I'm glad I was given this opportunity to learn basic first aid procedures. I'm confident that this knowledge will come in handy in case of emergency, both in a professional context as well as in my daily life."

Dhalia constantly provides training for its employees and consultants on a variety of topics from bank procedures to first aid. First aid training can eliminate 25% of emergency room visits, giving workers the confidence to respond to life-threatening situations.

With 14 branches around the Maltese Islands and six new offices in the pipeline, Dhalia is focused on the safety of its consultants, staff and clients.
