In a short interview carried on One Radio, Prime Minister Joseph Muscat referred to the visit he and Dutch Prime Minister Rutte carried out last week to a Dutch company that is setting up shop in Malta.
The company paints the exterior of planes and it fits in with Lufthansa Technik and SR who carry out checks on planes but do not paint exteriors.
Now this facility is also available in Malta. The company owns the largest hangar in the world where the giant A380s can be painted.
The company has been interested in opening up in Malta since 2010 but nothing happened under the PN administration. This one tackled the issues and solved the problems and the company will, as from tomorrow, begin preparing to set up in Malta. It will employ 80 people.
Dr Muscat was heavily critical of the Leader of the Opposition. While he has been attacking him as being negative, he has now added the appellation 'shoots from the hip'.
Dr Busuttil has been saying we do not need the new power station but if that were the case, Malta would have to spend 700 hours, or a whole month, in the dark.
When he spoke about the Budget in Parliament, Dr Busuttil hinted he was against increasing the minimum wage but then, when many organisations expressed support, he switched and said he was in favour. So why did he not mention this in his Budget Speech in Parliament?
