The Żejtun Organisation to Empower You (ŻOEY) youth organisation once again this Halloween organised a Trick or Treat with difference around the streets of Żejtun.

The members of this organisation collected canned food and other preserved food in aid of the children of Sliema Creche, Angela House, St Rita Home, Fatima Home, and Appoġġ Children's Fund.

In less than six hours, a record amount of food surpassing 960 kilograms, almost 3,000 products, were collected, more than the triple amount collected last year. The food was donated from the area of Ġebel San Martin, Ħal Tmin, Ta' San Girgor Estate and Bir id-Deheb.

ŻOEY thanked the Żejtun residents for their generosity while showing full cooperation.

The youths welcomed the positive reaction to their initiative and expressed  satisfaction that their event will benefit a good number of children who unfortunately cannot live with their natural families due to various problems and difficulties.
