For the 17th consecutive year, Farsons Group employees and their families offered voluntary support in this year's Corporate Social Responsibility Day.
Held annually on 19 March, this year Farsons visited Villino Maria in Mtarfa, one of the residential homes for persons with mental disabilities run by Aġenzija Sapport. Joined by members of Multigas Limited, the team whitewashed the entire residence in turnkey approach, within the allocated time, whilst the residents were entertained elsewhere for the day by the staff.
John J Attard, Employee Relations & Security Manager at Simonds Farsons Cisk plc, commented, "Participation in this annual event by employees and their families is voluntary and by improving the quality of life of our fellow citizens who have few expectations, we truly feel that our contribution matters. We would like to thank Agenzija Sapport, as well as all volunteers for making this opportunity a reality."
Farsons Group employees also responded enthusiastically to the annual blood donation drive held at the Farsons Brewery on 23 March.
"Our thanks go to all those who voluntarily donated blood, all the dedicated nursing and medical staff who provide such a vital service and to all those who in some way or other supported this initiative, which really is one of the best gifts of life," Mr Attard added.
