INDEPTH: Jason Azzopardi in agreement on Police Commissioner seizing PM’s laptop

Shadow speaker for the environment Jason Azzopardi is in full agreement with Matthew Caruana Galizia, son of slain journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia, when he said the Police should be confiscating the Prime Minister's laptop over his use of a private e-mail server.

Azzopardi, who was shadow speaker for justice during the previous legislature, remarked how in a "normal country" the use of a private e-mail server by the Prime Minister of a country for official business would already be cause for scandal and resignation. He was being interviewed on this week's edition of INDEPTH by The Malta Independent's editor-in-chief Rachel Attard, where he responds to criticism and challenges over making use of parliamentary privilege earlier this week to make explosive claims, among other controversial issues which have been rocking the local political sphere.

The late journalist had revealed Muscat was using a private e-mail server on her blog, when she published leaked e-mails from Henley & Partner's, the company which brought the cash-for-passport scheme to Malta, to the Prime Minister where a discussion on suing her, local journalists and Azzopardi himself was discussed.
