Maltese photographer among winners of the 2018 International Photography awards

Maltese photographer Vince Piscopo placed Malta among the winning countries with his work submitted in the Professional Category People/Other of the IPA also earning a nomination to compete for the coveted Lucie Statue. His participating image, Strada Stretta Dolls, depicts night life in Malta's capital, very popular in the 1950s during the post-war era. This image relates a story of two old barmaids having a break while recalling some old memories.

Piscopo has been practising photography for the past 15 years and is an active member of the Malta Photographic Society. He holds an AFIAP distinction from the International Federation of Photographic Art (France), a Certificate of Merit as two-star exhibitor in Colour Class from the Photographic Society of America, various local and international awards which include also an award from the highly respected Black and White Spider awards.
