Teatru Manoel, The Embassy of Italy in Malta and The Italian Cultural Institute in Valletta present Note d'Europa with the legendary violinist Uto Ughi and pianist Bruno Canino. The two legends will be playing a choice of music from Uto Ughi's latest CD 'Note d'Europa' on Monday 10th of December at 8pm. The programme includes:

Considered one of the finest violinists in the world today, UTO UGHI has appeared with the most important European and American Orchestras, including: Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Boston Symphony, the Philadelphia Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic, the Washington Symphony under the direction of conductors such as Celebidache, Colin Davis, Haitink, Sinopoli. On the other hand, Bruno Canino is deeply interested in contemporary music and has worked with many composers including Luciano Berio, Karlheinz Stockhausen, György Ligeti, Pierre Boulez, Bruno Maderna, Luigi Nono, Sylvano Bussotti and Mauricio Kagel often giving world première performances of their works. From 1999 to 2002, he was director of the Music Section of the Venice Biennale.
