On 9 and 10 February Teatru Manoel will be presenting a double bill performance not to be missed! The Welsh Musical Theatre Orchestra, along with four established West End performers, will be treating audiences to a weekend of Musical Theatre. Conducted by Andrew Hopkins, there will be two different concerts featuring 50 songs from 15 of the most popular musicals featured on Broadway and The West End. The West End performers will be joined by some of Malta's finest singers for a weekend of concerts.

One performance, Musicals: A Night on Broadway brings songs from some of the best musicals on Broadway stages such as Wicked, Annie, Jekyll and Hyde and Chicago. The second concert, Musicals: A Night at the West End, features songs from musicals that have dazzled audiences at the West End including Wicked, Les Miserables, Me and My Girl and The Phantom of the Opera.

The performer line-up includes West End performers Katy Treharne (The Phantom of the Opera), Lincoln Stone (Legally Blonde), Sarah Earnshaw (Wicked) and Zeph Gould (Cats). The four guests will be performing alongside some of Malta's finest singers including Malta Song for Europe winner 2012 Kurt Calleja, Ghanja tal-Poplu 2018 winner Michela Galea, Trilogy member Eleanor Spiteri and vocal powerhouse Neville Refalo.

Apart from delivering stunning renditions of these musical numbers, The Welsh Musical Theatre Orchestra will also bring a different form of entertainment to the shows. Orchestra members interact with each other and soloists throughout the concerts bringing a sense of humour and fun to the performances thus, making them stand out as an orchestra with an endearing personality and a vast Musical Theatre repertoire.
