A video has emerged on Facebook showing a car flying into the air after hitting the Santa Lucija roundabout at high speed.

The vehicle, which was coming from the direction of Marsa, hits the pavement and launches up in the air, barely missing the trees on the roundabout, and lands on the other side of the road.

It is then seen hitting the pavement before coming to a halt.

The grainy cctv footage makes it difficult to make out what kind of vehicle it is. 

The incident was not reported by the police, indicating that the person or persons inside the car did not suffer any serious injuries.
