In a vlog uploaded on Youtube, Archbishop Charles Scicluna said that while one is celebrating village feasts, it cannot be forgotten that they have a religious narrative.

Catholic values should be upholded in the way people speak about each other, he said.

Scicluna expressed his concern that village feasts have unfortunately led to first encounters with drugs for young people. This is not something we should be proud of, he said.

During this weekend, money is being collected in churches for charity, an initiative led by Pope Francis. Scicluna urged parishioners to contribute towards the needy.
