On Friday 30th August at the Basilica of the Nativity in Xagħra Gozo Arc. Mons. Carmelo Refalo celebrated Mass on the occasion of the Diamond Anniversary of Benedictine Abbess Mother Giustina Bonello.
On 14th August 1957, at the young age of 18 years, she joined the Benedictine Sisters at the Mdina Monastery. She made her temporary Profession on 9th August 1959 while on 11th August 1962 she consecrated her life to Jesus through solemn Perpetual Vows.
On 15th August 1999 she joined the Benedictine monastery in Urbania, Italy, where to date she is serving the community as an Abbess.
