The Internet of Things (IoT)
The Big Brother technology that creates a system for one world leader to micro-manage the planet is in place today and something which is being rolled out at the very moment is the 5G network. 5G is the new upgrade system for people to access the internet. To give an idea of how fast 5G is, the old 3G system would require 24 hours to download a two-hour movie. With 5G it takes 2 to 6 seconds! This is a cool and convenient way that also allows for fast downloads and searches on the net. This, not to mention the dangers to health (cancer and behaviour changes, to mention just a couple) posed by 5G and the destruction of trees to allow faster beam waves from the system.
IoT is used by 5G to create a matrix around the whole planet with this improved system to connect every single person and product that contains a micro-chip so that it is possible to access anything that carries the microchip (appliances, vehicles, homes, computers and even persons). In this manner, 5G makes it possible to know the location of people.
Sci-fi
The younger generation thrives on Sci-fi (e.g., Superman, Superwoman and The Avengers) with the famous super heroes with super technology and super powers. For instance, the Big Brother series started with movies such as Brave New World and the famous George Orwell's 1984 book. A new world order was envisioned that would be covered by spies who saw everything we did and in certain cases even had cameras located on telephone poles. This concept was presented by the authors and producers as something horrible where citizens are being constantly watched.
China and the USA
Chinese cities allow the state to follow the person virtually step by step. The scenario presented by George Orwell goes far beyond what he would have ever imagined. People are being monitored on a massive scale worldwide. If we take the UK in the private and public sector there is a surveillance canopy. It is estimated that the average Briton is filmed by 300 cameras from the moment of going out till he returns home.
The number of cameras in each country gives a much clearer picture; there are 6 million cameras in the UK. The USA has 30 million cameras. China has 170 million cameras to which a further 400 million will be added in the coming two years.
Some of these cameras not only video-tape but have micro-phones installed which can record conversations both in the private and public domain. There are cameras on street corners and the monitoring indeed goes way beyond what George Orwell predicted.
Cameras that work by wave-length can pick you even a mile away. They can shoot a beam into your house and then recreate the audio in your house, for example, a conversation, even beamed off a bag of chips. They can literally make a bag of chips vibrate, turning it into a speaker and thus record your conversation. This technology is so advanced that they can beam off even on plant leaves! We are already living in a situation where there is nowhere to hide!
Social Credit Score system
China is far ahead in the curve as they know everything about their people in this massive mega database. They created a social credit score system where they will punish citizens on the basis of what they do and what they are not supposed to do. The surveillance system, for instance, in China even allows the state to shut out persons out of the system.
People in China will not be able to travel, open a bank account, own real estate or even get high speed internet if they do not obey the state. But if they do, they get discounts, great interest rates on loans and their social media profile is bumped on dating sites! In other words, you are rewarded, punished or even shut out of the system depending on your attitude towards the state.
The USA system is tied to the same data system as China but China is far ahead in their surveillance canopy system that it is possible for them to find anybody, anywhere and anytime. Facial recognition technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology have made this possible. For instance a BBC reporter tried out this system when he went to China to check it out. Through a simple photo taken of him on arrival in the country, the system was able to trace him in just seven minutes!
Facebook for a reason
Social media has to do with this Big Brother technology. Facebook is developing huge dossiers on each person with likes and dislikes, political and religious persuasions, contacts, and places we go. We are literally giving Facebook our "faces". The facial recognition software that Facebook uses cannot be deceived even if you put on a disguise on your face because Facebook knows it's you. We cannot fool Facebook as we have given so much of our "face" to it.
A synthetic you
In the 1980s, this concept was popularised with the Film The Running Man, where the main character, Arnold Schwartzenegger, is set up through a manipulated video of himself to make him look like the bad guy. The futuristic year of the movie, way back then, was depicted as 2019 which was spot on! The movie depicts this future horrible totalitarian society where you are manipulated to appear as saying and doing things you did not do or say.
Two recent technological developments are Audio Photoshop and Deep Fake Videos that allow the above to happen with the click of a mouse!
Modern technology has also brought down the language barrier. There are about 6,500 languages and today the language barrier has been removed. IBM in the 1950s developed an automatic language translator for the military. Today we have the Google Pixel Buds where, for instance a lady from Sweden and a man from England are chatting in real-time having their conversations translated in their own respective languages.
3D holograms
A person's image can also be changed through technology. For instance, Azure Marketing has created a technology where you take any person making a presentation by creating a life size 3D hologram of the person giving a presentation combining it with AI so that it can be beamed across the planet speaking, say Japanese, with the person's own voice and inflections!
A religious perspective
Some already interpret the COVID-19 as a manifestation of God's judgement and wrath. Many Christians also view this technological change as a prophetic omen and in line with Biblical warnings in the Book of Revelations or Apocalypse.
They see these changes as the playground for an Anti-Christ system where the individual loses freedoms if he/she does not abide with state laws, even if they run counter to their Christian moral beliefs. Some also see the human race as being implanted with RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) microchips which are being even more popular to add further to individual monitoring as indicated in the Book of Revelations. It is little wonder that Jesus warns us in Mathew 24 of the worst times in the history of mankind. This warning will culminate in a seven-year tribulation period that will destroy the entire human race.
Thank God for those who believe God and obey are saved from this time of tribulation. Indeed the final countdown or God's prophetic time clock is running out of time. A very good read and compelling book on this subject is the one by Billy Crone, titled The Final Countdown: Tribulation Rising Vol. 2 Modern Technology.
