Watch: Delia signs sworn affidavit denying claims of alleged election bribe

Thursday, 18 June 2020, 20:46 Last update: about 5 years ago

Opposition Leader Adrian Delia has signed a sworn affidavit denying claims of an alleged election bribe, saying that neither Yorgen Fenech, nor anyone else, ever approached him to give a donation in return for a PN candidate not to be elected.

Middleman Melvin Theuma had said in court that 17 Black owner Yorgen Fenech had told him that he had offered money to the PN not to elect David Casa. This has and continued to be denied by the PN.

Making reference to news reports that presenter Karl Stagno Navarra said that Delia was offered €250,000 by the alleged Daphne Caruana Galizia murder mastermind to stop the re-election of David Casa, Delia challenged the PL media to, within 24 hours, "substantiate the lies and go to the Acting Police Commissioner with all the information it has."
