Coronavirus: No new cases, as number of active cases drops to seven

No new Coronavirus cases were registered on Friday, while another two recoveries mean that Malta now only has seven active cases of the virus, health authorities have said.

The total number of cases therefore remains at 674, with nine deaths.

The number of patients who have recovered is now 658, with only seven cases remaining active.

The number of swab tests carried out stood at 775, bringing the total number of swabs up to 105,683.

Health authorities also said that the average length of the recovery period in Malta for those who caught the virus is 16 days.
