The PN General Council has been postponed indefinitely in view of the current Covid-19 situation, the party said.

Secretary General Francis Zammit Dimech said this was being done with respect towards the directives and recommendations issued by the health authorities.

The General Council was due to be held between 14 and 21 March.

Zammit Dimech said the PN said it will continue with its work and will, in the coming weeks, announce new initiatives it will be taking in support of the Maltese people.

Zammit Dimech recently told this newsroom that the General Council would be electing the members who represent it on the Executive Committee. The next step would be to hold elections for a number of important party roles, including Secretary General, Executive Organisational Secretary, International Secretary, President of the Administrative Council and Treasurer.
