142 new Covid-19 cases recorded as 174 people recover

142 new Covid-19 cases were registered on Tuesday, while 174 people recovered.

This means that the number of active cases has continued to fall, now standing at 2,230.

Thus far, 746,883 doses of the Covid vaccine have been administered. 393,967 of these were first doses. 371,802 people are fully vaccinated.

In total, 1,075,833 swab tests have been administered.

Since the start of the pandemic there have been 33,904 positive cases in the country, 30,857 of which recovered. 421 people have died.

The health authorities also provided information about the positive cases recorded on Monday. The average age of Monday's cases was 34. Currently, there are 37 Covid patients being treated at Mater Dei Hospital, one of whom is in the ITU.
