Two more Covid-19 patients die as 431 new cases are reported

Two Covid-19 patients have died while positive for the virus, while 431 new cases have been reported by health authorities on Thursday.

700 people have recovered, meaning that the number of active cases currently stands at 8,412.

2,779 swab tests were administered in the past 24 hours, meaning that the positivity rate stands at 15.55%.

Details about the deaths or about the number of people receiving treatment in hospitals were not provided, and have not been provided since the Ministry for Health stopped issuing its daily bulletin on social media.

1,260,524 doses of the vaccine have been administered thus far, with 352,641 of those being booster doses.

Malta has had 87,872 cases of the virus so far. 78,393 of those have recovered, while 671 of them have died.
